My first step was my research to look at already existing magazines and study their conventions, they way they were put together, house style, content etc.
One magazine I took a lot of my inspiration from was market leader NME which exemplifies the conventions of successful magazine publishing.
NMEs front cover is no different from hundreds of other magazines the basic elements are: its visual codes, linguistic codes and technical codes.
